Zapak Mail launched in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, May 21 (UNI) Zapak Digital Entertainment Limited, a Reliance ADA group venture company, today announced the launch of Zapak Mail.

It is the simplest and fastest email service in the country, claimed ZDEL CTO Sudipto Majumdar here today.

Addressing mediapersons, he said ''We began seven months before on November 5, 2006 with a site Zapak.com and six months prior to it our Chairman Anil Ambani visualised a new email service that will attract the youth and also provide 'gaming' which is today the latest source of entertainment much bigger than Hollywood which is worth USD 25 billion while gaming is around USD 28 billion.

Zapak mail has unlimited mailbox capacity and has an attachment limit of 32 Mb which is highest provided by any email service as others provide only 8 Mb or 10 Mb, Mr Majumdar said.

Apart from these primary feature, it also has features like search that can help find any mail just by typing a word, spam filter and virus protection.

Targeting new internet users and first time mail users, the user interface has been kept simple with only two buttons aligned to the left of the page - one 'compose' and remaining features clubbed with ''More Options,'' Mr Majumdar said.

On the gaming service, he said Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd (ZDEL), part of Reliance ADA group, has planned to roll out the service in three phases. The first phase has been the launch of Zapak.com and the second phase would see the roll out of Zapak zones, exclusive gaming cafe's across the country and in the third phase ZDEL would introduce Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) which is a rage in online gaming worldwide. Zapak would invest over USD 100 million over the next three years in this venture, Mr Majumdar added.
