Unichem labs Q4 net up 48%

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Unichem Laboratories today posted a 48 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 20.04 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 compared to Rs 13.54 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The company's total income rose to Rs 140.38 crore in the January-March quarter, up by 31.5 per cent, against Rs 106.78 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company, for the financial year ended March 31, 2007, recorded a total income of Rs 562.4 crore against Rs 477.7 crore in the previous year, registering a growth of 17.9 per cent mainly contributed by 39.3 per cent growth in international business The Board of Directors of the company also decided to consider the 100 per cent interim dividend of Rs 5 per share paid in March 2007 as final.
