Two bombs recovered at Howrah station

Howrah, May 21 (UNI) Panic prevailed for some time at busy Howrah station when two live bombs were recovered from inside a local train in the peak hours today, Railway police (GRP) said.

The bombs in a packet were first noticed by a commuter in the Tarakeswar bound local passenger train at about 1030 hrs. He then immediately called the patrolling securitymen, who summoned the bomb disposal squad for safe defusion.

The bombs, have been taken to the forensic department for further investigation.

No arrests have been made so far.

The bomb scare had delayed departure and arrival of some trains of Eastern Railway.
