Two bombs recover at Howrah station

Howrah,May 21 (UNI) Panic prevailed some time in busy Howrah station when two live bombs were recovered from inside a local train in the peak hours today, Railway police (GRP) said.

The bombs in a packet were first noticed by a commuter in the Tarakeswar bound local passenger train at about 1030 hours. He then immediately called the patrolling securitymen, who summoned the bomb disposal squad for safe disposal.

The squad after defusing the bombs,took those two to the forensic department for further investigation.

No one was arrested in this connection so far.

The bomb scare had delayed departure and arrival of some trains of Eastern Railway.
