Shimla, May 21: Tata Indicom today introduced ''India Calling Cards'' scheme to facilitate easy STD and ISD calls on pre paid and post paid mobile and walky by activating it on their connections.

Himachal Pradesh's Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Tata Teleservices Sandeep Srivastava said the card serves as a numeric code and could be operated by dialing the access number along with the distinctive PIN numbers.

The India Calling Cards has unique features like speed dialing and PINless dialing, while customers need to remember only the last four digit of the PIN as against the 12 digit code every time while making a call, he said.

Mr Srivastava said a calling card of Rs 500 would allow STD at the rate of Rs 1.50 per minute, while all calls to US, UK and Canada would be charged at Rs 4.50 per minute, besides Rs 7.20 per minute for calls to the Gulf countries.

The speed dialing allows the customer the option of having easy access to the three frequently dialed numbers, he said.

The COO said the scheme has been announced to facilitate the requirements of ISD and STD customers and users who make expensive long distance calls.
