SIPB clears seven mega industries in AP

Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) The State Investment Board (SIPB) today met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and cleared seven mega industries in Andhra Pradesh.

It cleared M/s Bramhani Industries Ltd, with an investment of Rs 4,500 crore in the first phase. In the first phase it would have an employment potential of 2,500 and the capacity would be two million tonnes. It would have a job potential of 10,000 by the fourth phase and capacity would be 10 million tonnes.

SIPB cleared M/s RKKR Steels Ltd in Nellore district, a special alloy steel (bars, rods, wire rods, bright bars etc) company with an investment of Rs 400 crore with an employment potential of 1,800 and a production capacity of 2,50,000 tonnes per year.

The Board also cleared GMR Hyderabad International Airport Lufthansa Technic AG (LHT) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Ranga Reddy district, a Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) facility with an investment of Rs 100 crore and an employment potential of 1,000.

The SIPB also cleared M/s AGI Claspac at Bhongir (V and M) in Nalgonda district, a container glass unit with an investment of Rs 500 crore, an employment potential of 1,500 and a production capacity of 500 metric tonnes per year.

The Board cleared M/s Solar Semiconductor Pvt Ltd at Fab City SEZ in the state capital, a Photovoltaic Solar Cell, P V Solar Module Assembly Line unit, with an investment of Rs 4,500 crore and an employment potential of 5,000.

The SIPB cleared M/s Amaravathi Textiles Pvt Ltd at Prakasam district, a spinning mill with an investment of Rs 361 crore with an employment potential of 2,500 and a production capacity of 1,01,016 spindles.

The board also cleared M/s MRF Ltd in Medak district, a truck-tyre unit with an investment of Rs 300 crore with employment potential of 750 and with 3,000 tonnes yearly production capacity.
