Security at Sacha Sauda 'deras' tightened

Patiala, May 21 (UNI) Security at all 11 deras of Sacha Sauda has further been tightened in the wake of the call of a Punjab 'bandh' given by the Sikh clergy to protest against the anti-Sikh activities of Sacha sauda chief Baba Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh.

SSP S K Asthana said here today that police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at all 'deras and strict vigil was being kept.

He said there will be no permission of any demonstration and no one will be allowed to carry weapons or sword etc.

Prohibitary orders under Section 144 have already been issued and strict action will be taken against those who try to disrupt the peace, he added.
