Raichur records highest maximum temperature of 42.6 deg. celsius

Bangalore, May 21 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka&dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kunigal 4, Sira 3, Nelamanagala 2, Thondebhavi 1.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at many places over Coastal Karnataka; above normal at many places being appreciably so at many places over South Interior Karnataka; and were above normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.6 degree celsius over the State.
