Principal arrested while accepting bribe, sent to jail
Patna, May 21 (UNI) The Principal of a Middle school at Mahnar in Vaishali district was today caught red-handed by Bihar state vigilence bureau sleuths while accepting a draft of Rs 5000.
He had been sent to judicial custody.
Vigilance Bureau Deputy Director Neelmani here said the accused Rajeswar Singh had demanded the money from Ram Iqbal Rai to update his service book and clearing of dues.
However, Mr Iqbal brought the matter to the notice of the vigilence bureau following which they laid a trap to catch Mr Singh red-handed.
Accordingly, Mr Neelmani arrested Singh while he was accepting the bribe this morning.
The accused would be produced in Muzaffarpur special court for further inquiry.
