One million euros seized in Kullu Valley
Kullu, May 21 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police has seized one million Euros from two Kashmiri men in the Kullu valley of the state, Manali DSP KS Rana said today.
The Euros have been seized from Fayad Ahmed and Rais Ahmed at Nehru Kund, near here, late last evening, he told UNI here.
Mr Rana said the two were arrested after a local person to whom they were trying to sell the foreign currency informed the police.
Both the arrested people were from Jammu and Kashmir and often frequented the Valley for selling shawls brought from there.
He said the foreign currency was valued at 5.8 crore, adding that a case has been registered and investigations are on.
