One killed in BTC leader's convoy accident

Guwahati, May 21 (UNI) One person was killed and five others were injured when the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief Khampa Borgiary's convoy met with an accident today.

Police informed that the accident occurred at 0645 hours at Boitamari when Mr Borgiary's escort car, on its way to Bongaigaon, overturned.

The BTC deputy chief, however, escaped unhurt.

His escort Raju Boro died on the spot, while five injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals.
