Mohit abduction case: prime accused held
Lucknow, May 21 (UNI) In a major achievement, the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police today arrested the main accused of Mohit Chandani abduction case from Aliganj area of the state capital.
On May 1, Mohit, son of an affluent businessman Purushottam Chandani of Aliganj, was abducted outside his school.
Later on May 8, the STF had rescued Mohit from clutches of the kidnappers in Barabanki district and gunned down two accused.
However, the main accused was still absconding.
On being tipped-off, cops reached Purania area and nabbed Praveen Kumar, police.
One pistol, a large number of cartridges and a motorcycle were recovered from the spot.
