Hooda's brother passes away
Chandigarh, May 21 (UNI) Mr Joginder Singh Hooda, elder brother of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, died at the AIIIMS in New Delhi today, where he was undergoing treatment for a renal ailment, family sources here said.
He was 60 and survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
An agriculturist by profession, Mr Joginder Singh took keen interest in social welfare activities.
The Chief Minister, who was on his way to Sonepat to attend a function on Rajiv Gandhi's death anniversary, had earlier rushed to Delhi on getting the information that the condition of his brother had been critical.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, state ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Parliamentary Secretaries and a number of legislators and MPs condoled the death of Mr Joginder Singh.
They also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
The mortal remains of Mr Joginder Singh Hooda would be consigned to flames in Rohtak this evening.
