Guest teachers for tribal schools

Bhopal, May 21 (UNI) Guest teachers would be appointed to fill vacancies in schools run by the Tribal Welfare department in Madhya Pradesh in the next academic session, official sources said today.

The state government has made this arrangement to facilitate education of students. The government, however, clarified that this arrangement was temporary and no appointment would be made against any post.

A panel of five guest teachers in every subject will be formed in two categories for every session.

Under the guest teacher scheme. priority would be given to retired teachers of government or private schools, particularly in subjects in which they had experience.

In the second priority, preference would be given to those applicants who did BEd or BEd(Special) for category one, while for the second category BEd, BEd(Special), BTC or DSE would be preferred.

For the guest teachers, remuneration has been fixed at Rs 50 per period for category one and Rs 40 for category two with a provision for maximum four periods in a day.

The maximum remuneration payable in a month would be Rs 4,000 for category one and Rs 3,200 for category two. The number of total academic days would be 20 in a month.
