Ferrous metals rise on reduced stock supply

Mumbai, May 21 (UNI) Ferrous metals rose on reduced stock supply, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.

In the ferrous section, copper heavy and copper utensils went up by Rs 400 and Rs 100 per quintal on better buying support. Brass cutting and Aluminium utensils also shot up by Rs 100 and Rs 50 per quintal on higher advice.

In the non-ferrous category, Aluminium ingots inched up by Rs 50 per quintal on good demand.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 34,800, Copper utensils - Rs 30,800, Brass utensils - Rs 25,300, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,100 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,950.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,100, Zinc slabs - Rs 19,600, Lead ingots - Rs 9,700, Tin slab - Rs 720 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,280 (per kg).
