Emaar MGF, Leighton in 50:50 construction JV

New Delhi, May 21 (UNI) Realty major Emaar MGF has collaborated with Australia's project development and contracting company Leighton Group to form an equal joint venture at an initial investment of 150 million dollars.

The JV company -- Leighton Construction India Pvt Ltd -- is expected to execute construction for projects volumes in excess of 2.5 billion dollars over the next few years.

''The amount of investment will depend on the growth capacity of the JV company,'' Leighton Asia Southern Ltd Managing Director David Savage told reporters here today.

Leighton Construction has four integrated mega township projects, of which three are in Mohali and one in Gurgaon.
