Una, May 21 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister P K Dhumal today dared Chief Minister Virhhadra Singh for an open debate on the issue of corruption.

Addressing a public meeting at Kotla Khurd village in Una, he countered the Congress' charge that the elections to the seat were being held after the suspension of its MP Suresh Chandel in the infamous ''cash for query scam''.

Mr Dhumal said by-elections were also held in Rai Bareli in Uttar Pradesh because UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi had to resign for holding an office of profit in addition to that of the MP.

Besides, a former Congress Prime Minister was accused of taking money from former Russian secret agency KGB to part with National interests and secrets, he said.

He said a few of the ministers in the then Union cabinet ministers were actually on the pay rolls of the KGB.
