Court discharges former Kang from forgery case

Patna, May 21 (UNI) A local court today discharged former Bihar Chief Secretary G S Kang from a forgery case.

The case related to alleged forgery in an advertisement agreement for the one day international cricket match between Zimbabwe and Kenya in Moinul Haque stadium here way back in 1996.

The first class judicial magistrate of Patna S K Mishra on the other hand issued 'permanent warrant of arrest' against Patna Cricket Asssociation(PCA) and its vice-president Ajay Bhagat, declaring them 'absconders' due to their non-appearence in the case inspite of issuance of summons and warrants.

According to the case,the alleged forgery was committed in the agreement for advertisement between Lochan housing and plantation private limited and PCA of which Mr Kang was then the president.

Howver, Mr Kang had already secured anticipatory bail in the case.
