Panaji, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal today said the Centre is keen to share its state-of-the-art hybrid technology with Goa for its comprehensive development planning.

Interacting with mediapersons here, Mr Sibal said the technology had been developed in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences and was for the first time used in Chandni Chowk in Delhi to ensure its planned development.

''In fact, every municipality could ask us for this technological assistance which the Centre plans to help develop in about 400 municipalities,'' Sibal said.

The package involved a marriage of different technologies, including aerial photography and satellite imagery so that the civic authorities could detect even the minutest of the change in the plan of households using remote camaras with data backup besides noticing unauthorised constructions, he said.

The package has its applications in security, traffic management, checking of power pilferage and underground cable network, he added.
