3i Infotech launches new GDC

Chennai, May 21: 3i Infotech, a global provider of IT solutions and the fourth largest Indian Software Product company today announced the launch of its new Global Development Centre (GDC) in the city.

The centre will focus on the enhancement and development of the company's flagship insurance solution PREMIA and the Kastle line of banking solution, as well as support the company's organic growth in the areas, a company release said here today.

Spread over an area of 2,00,000 sqft, the seven storey GDC with a capacity of 2,400 seats, will also house a state-of-the-art data centre.

With a focus on further developing the company's software products, the establishment of the Chennai GDC was in line with company's strategy for organic growth through the enhancement of its products.

Annually 3i Infotech invests approximately four to five per cent of revenues into its research and development operations across Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kochi and Hyderabad, the release added.
