3 minors drown in canal

Varanasi, May 21 (UNI) Three minors, including two girls, were drowned in a canal in neighbouring Chandauli district.

Gudia (7), Googli (5), both siblings and their cousin Golu (4) were bathing at a canal in Sarane village under Alinagar police station last evening when they slipped into deep water and went missing, police said.

The bodies were fished out early today and have been sent for post-mortems.
