Two women commit suicide in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 20 (UNI) Two women committed suicide in Kashmir today, police said.

They said Amina, wife of Ghulam Hassan Thoker, was rushed to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura after she had consumed some poisonous substance at her residence in Lasjan area near here.

The woman later died in the hospital. Police have registered a case and started investigations.

In another incident, Rozi Jan took some poisonous substance at her residence at Chogalpora in Damhal Hanjipora of Anantnag district.

Jan, 22, was rushed to the Kulgam Sub-District Hospital where she breathed her last.
