Two farmers commit suicide in K'taka
Hubli, May 20 (UNI) Two farmers have allegedly committed suicide after being unable to repay their agricultural loans in Dharwad and Gadag districts of Karnataka.
According to police, Mouleshwarappa Kunnur (65) took the extreme step after being fed up of being harassed by bank officials for recovery of loans raised by his sons for agricultural purposes. He consumed poison yesterday at his house in Tirumalkop in Dharwad district.
Later last night, he was rushed to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here, where he died.
In another incident, Dyavalappa Sovinahalli (55) hanged himself at Kakkur Tanda in Gadag district.
