Sweltering day returns in absence of rain in Bihar

Patna, May 20 (UNI) People in Bihar today went through yet another day of unbearable heat with mercury rising in absence of any rain during the day.

Local Met office sources said the day's maximum temperature here was recorded at 36.2 degree Celsius, while the minimum was at 24.8 degree Celsius.

Since both of which were about one degree higher than what was recorded yesterday when several parts of the state experienced light drizzle, there was no respite from sweltering heat.

Similarly in Gaya, today's maximum temparature was recorded at 36.8 degree Celsius and minimum 24.2 degree Celsius, while in Bhagalpur they were 36.4 degree Celsius and 27.8 degree Celsius respectively.

There would be no dramatic change in tomorrow's temperature when the sky was also expected to remain clear all through as such there was no possiblity of rain, the sources said.
