Seven villagers killed in accident

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, May 20 (UNI) Seven villagers were killed on the spot and five others injured, four of them seriously, when a sugarcane-laden lorry ran over them at Kaduru village in this district, today.

Police said the accident occurred when the driver of the lorry, proceeding to a sugar factory, lost control of the vehicle and ran over the villagers taking shelter under a tree.

The injured were admitted to the Srikalahasti Government Hospital.
