MRPS activists set ablaze RTC bus

Ongloe (Andhra Pradesh), May 20: A state transport bus was set ablaze by the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) activists at Chinnamallavaram village of Prakasam district early today.

The activits were raising slogans in favour of Manda Krishna Madiga, who had been observing hunger strike for the last four days, sources said.

Five MRPS activists, who came by two motor vehicles, set the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus ablaze when the driver and conductor were sleeping on the top of it.

Sensing crisis, the driver and conductor stepped down and intimated the police and depot manager.
