Indore, May 20 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government is desirous of selling its village industry products -- the Vindhya Valley brand spices, honey etc -- through a major retail chain.

''We held discussions with the Pantaloon Group's chain Big Bazaar but its demand for a high commission proved a spanner in the works.

Discussions may take place with another chain,'' Village Industry Minister Vijay Shah said here today.

He added ''Drawing inspiration from the Rajasthan government, we are mulling taking professional designers' assistance for creating khadi and silk garments. Rajasthan sought help from Bangladeshis,'' As many as 150 craftpersons would showcase their creations at a Gandhi Shilp Bazaar that gets underway tomorrow here and would conclude on May 30.
