Kerala govt officials visits Dam site without TN knowledge
Coimbatore, May 20 (UNI) Kerala Chief Engineer V K Mahanudevan and other staff members today visited Upper Nirar Dam site here without the knowledge of Tamil Nadu Irrigation department officials.
According to official sources, Mr Mahanudevan along with other officials reviewed the storage of the water level and other issues connected with it.
Once in four months, the water would be released to Kerala and rest of the eight months the water will go to Tamil Nadu Perambikulam Aliyar project.
The state government was also celebrating summer festival in Valparai to promote tourism in this part of the region where the fauna was rich.
