Dry weather prevailed over the state

Bangalore, May 20 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hrs here today.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka; and were above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.6 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka; Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural and Kolar districts of South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevailed over North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely to occur towards evening/night. Maximum temperature would be around 35 degrees celsius.
