Communal violence in MP village
Raisen, MP, May 20 (UNI) Four houses belonging to a certain community have been torched by members of another community in the wake of a youth being stabbed over a financial transaction in this district's Noniya Bareli village, police said.
The stabbing took place last night and an additional police force was stationed at the village where the situation is stated to be under control. Collector Arun Bhatt and Superintendent of Police K C Jain visited Noniya Bareli today. Mr Bhatt issued a directive that the victims be provided cottages under the Indira Awas Yojana, Rs 1,000 each and foodgrains.
''Rizwan severely assaulted Nathusingh Raghuvanshi who was rushed to Bhopal for treatment,'' said the Collector. Two persons were arrested for arson but Rizwan was absconding.
