AIMIM lays siege to DGP's office protesting cops firing
Hyderabad, May 20 (UNI) Activists of the AIMIM, led by party MP Asaduddin Owaisi, today laid siege to the DGP's office protesting against the police firing following the blast in the Mecca Masjid on May 18.
When MIM workers tried to enter the DGP's Office, policemen guarding the entrance stopped them. The activists of the party then squatted on the road, causing severe traffic jam on the busy Lakdi-ka-Pul road.
AIMIM was demanding a CBI inquiry into the firing and suspension of the officers responsible for it. They also burnt the effigy of the DGP infront of his office.
