2 killed, 15 injured in UP accidents

Mahoba, May 20 (UNI) At least two persons were killed and 15 others seriously injured in separate road accidents here today.

Police said an accident took place at Jhansi-Mirzapur National Highway, where a speeding Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus rammed into a roadside tree, killing one person on the spot.

Eight persons, including three women, were rushed to a hospital in a critical condition.

In a separate incident in Karbai town, a youth was killed and another was injured after they were hit by a truck.

Later, five passengers sustained severe injuries after a speeding auto-rickshaw overturned in Karela area.

Besides this, a motorcycle-borne power was injured in a road accident in Baharwara area.

The deceased were identified as Shivpal and Raj Bahadur.
