Two killed in wall collapse in Nagaland

Kohima, May 19: Two persons were killed when a high wall collapsed on their thatched house in the Purana Bazar of Dimapur yesterday.

Official sources said here today that the deceased - the father and his son - were having their dinner when the wall of a private nursing home caved in.

The thatched house comprised nine rooms, but the other occupants escaped unhurt.

Sources said the collapse occurred due to heavy rainfall in the state for the past one week.

The bus accident, which claimed eight lives yesterday, was also caused due to loosening of earth because of the rainfall.
