Two arrested for murder

Durgapur, May 19 (UNI) Police today arrested two persons on charges of murder.

The bodies of the victims Sandip Misra and Deepak Sharma were recovered from Hetadoba jungle in Faridpur early this morning, Additional Superintendant of Police Deep Sankar Rudra said.

Sandeep and Deepak were reported to have gone for a ride last night and did not return. The vehicle they were travelling in was found near a petrol pump at main gate area in Durgapur, police said.

The alleged murderers - Rajinder Singh and Pappu Thankur, were arrested this evening.

The bodies were found with bullet wounds in their heads as well as other head injuries possibly casued by a blunt object. The bullets were fired from point blank, police confirmed.

Mr Rudra said investigation was on to ascertain the motive behind the murders.
