Triple murder rocks city, servant missing

Gurgaon, Haryana, May 19 (UNI) In a renewed spate of crimes, property dealer, his wife and child were murdered in Sector 23 here, allegedly by their servant who is absconding.

However, no report of any theft at the murder 'site' has come, according to the police.

Vinod Chahal (37), his wife Saroj (32) and their six-year-old son Chaitanya were found murdered at their House No 750 in Sector 23, when the property dealer's friend visited them this morning to enquire why he had not been picking up the phone since yesterday, said sources.

Their servant Lallan (19), who hailed from Patna and had been with the Chahals for the last six months, was missing.

While the couple had been battered to death by a baseball bat, the child had been strangled.

Police suspect it to be the handiwork of at least two people. It said the murder took place yesterday and that the jewellery worn by the Saroj was found intact while adding that it had sent several teams to nab the culprits.
