Bihar:Train passengers robbed off valuables
Patna, May 19: Armed criminals looted cash and valuables from the passengers of DN Mathura-Patna Express near Bihta station under Danapur division of East Central Railway last night.
Police here today said a gang of about six dacoits armed with revolvers and other lethal weapons boarded two reserved coaches of the train at Ara station and started looting the passengers at gunpoint.
After continuing their operation for nearly half an hour, the criminals pulled the chain near Sadisopur station and escaped.
However, none of the passengers was injured as there was no resistance from anyone.
Later, a criminal case was filed after the train arrived at Danapur.
None had been arrested so far in this connection.
This was the third incident of train robbery in Bihar this month.
