Total death toll in Masjid blast was 14 only: DGP

Hyderabad, May 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) M A Basith today clarified that the total death toll in yesterday's bomb blast that ripped through Mecca masjid, was 14 and not 16 as reported earlier.

According to an official release here, Mr Basith said nine people were killed in the bomb blast and the remaining five persons were succumbed to bullet injuries in the police firing.

Earlier, the state Home Minister K Jana Redy said the toll in the blast and related violence was 16.
