Three sentenced to life term for abduction

Hajipur, May 19 (UNI) A local court here today sentenced three people, including a RJD leader, to rigorous life imprisonment in connection with an abduction case.

The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10000 on each of them.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Prem Chand Gupta found local RJD leader Ram Babu Rai and two others guilty of kidnapping Anil Kumar, son of a local buisnessman.

According to the charges, the accused had abducted Anil Kumar on July 23, 2002 and made repeated threaterning calls to his father for huge ransom.
