Three pick-pocketeers get 5 yrs' RI for attacking constable
New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) A local court today awarded five years' rigorous imprisonment to three persons for assaulting a Delhi constable at a railway station here.
The constable Pramod was trying to nab the three when they were indulging in pick-pocketting. The trio--Sonu, Vicky and Devi Singh--attacked him and injured him badly. He was hospitalised for several months.
The judge Rajnish Gupta convicted them on charges of attempt to murder and attacking a policeman on duty.
