Maharastra: 3 killed, 2 injured due to lightning

Nagpur, May 19: Three members of a family, including a woman and her two children, were killed and two others injured after a lightning struck them in Buldhana district, over 250 km from here, today.

The lightening struck Ranantari village this afternoon at around 1700 hrs, P T Kharde, tehsildar of Chikhli tehsil in Buldhana district, told UNI.

In the attack, Rukhmini Bhagwan Zalte (40) and her sons Shreedhar (17) and Nilesh (15), who were working in their field, died on the spot, he said.

The injured have been admitted to the government hospital, where their condition is stated to be stable, Mr Kharde said, adding that senior police and administrative officers have visited the area.
