Bangalore, May 19: Renowned spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living Sri Ravi Shankar will embark on a three-day visit to Iraq from May 22, 2007 at the invitation of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Malaki.

He would arrive in Baghdad on Monday from Amman.

During the visit, he would hold discussions on restoring peace in Iraq with the Prime Minister.

On May 22, Sri Ravi Shankar will address a public gathering which would be attended by several political leaders belonging to Sunni, Shia and Kurdish parties.

He would also visit the Art of Living Centre in Baghdad, which has been operational since 2003.

On his way to Baghdad from London, Sri Ravi Shankar would stop over in the Jordanian capital for a day. He is expected to meet His Majesty King Abdullah and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, besides holding discussions with the Prime Minister Marouf Al Bakhit.

On his return from Baghdad, Sri Ravi Shankar would deliver a public talk at the University of Jordan. Before his departure for New Delhi on May 25, an official reception would also be hosted in his honour in Amman.
