Slight drizzle brings relief in Patna

Patna, May 19 (UNI) A late afternoon drizzle here today brought some relief to the people who were writhing under sweltering heat since past few days.

The rain, that continued for a few minutes, brought down the temperature by more than one degree celsius.

Local met office sources said the maximum temparature during the day was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25 compared to 36.7 and 26.7 degrees Celsius respectively yesterday.

The amount of rainfall was recorded at only 0.6 mm though the sky remained overcast almost the entire day.

The average humidity this morning was recorded at 70 per cent, while it went upto 81 per cent during the evening, sources added.

The average temparature in other parts of the state including Bhagalpur, Gaya and Purnea was also similar to that of Patna, the sources said.
