Mumbai: Silver steady; Gold rises

Mumbai, May 19: Silver remained steady today on moderate demand while gold rose slightly on better buying support in the opening session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here.

Following are the opening rates of Spot Silver and Gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 18,285, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,770, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,820.
