Scanty rainfall, relief to Kolkatans

Kolkata, May 19 (UNI) Partly cloudy sky from the morning and a few smart showers later brought some relief to the Kolkatans today.

The city and its suburbs recorded scanty rainfall bringing down the mercury.

The Alipore Met office recorded 4 mm rainfall.

The maximum temperature of the day was 33.5 degree Celsius and the minimum was 26.9 degree Celsius.

The maximum relative humidity was pegged at 95 per cent.

The Met office forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development in some parts of the city during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature for the next 24-hours will be around 34 degree Celsius, the Met office said.
