Satanic forces try to divide society: Shivraj Patil

Tirumala, May 19 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today said some ''satanic forces'' are deliberately trying to create division in the society by targeting places of worship in the country.

Addressing mediapersons here, after holding meeting with the revenue officials and top police officials on the security related issues in Tirumala, he said the security arrangements at Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple were ensured by the state government.

The Home Minister said that the Central and state government agencies were in full co-ordination to curb the anti-social elements which were trying to disturb the national harmony.

Earlier, Mr Patel reviewed the security arrangments at Tirumala with the Union Minister of State for Mines T Subbirami Reddy and other top TTD, police and district officials of the area.
