Panther trapped in Nashik
Nashik, May 19 (UNI) A panther that had strayed into a residential society was trapped by the forest officials in the Indiranagar locality of the city today.
The forest officials, along with policemen and fire brigade personnel caught the panther from the second floor flat in Audumber society after tranquilising it.
No one was injured in the entire operation, sources said.
Forest officer Uday Aaysak, Ambad senior police inspector Budhwant, Mayor Vinayak Pandey were present when the panther was caught.
The wild cat was spotted several times near the residential complex. And a trap had therefore been laid for the animal.
Earlier on May 16, the panther was spotted in the Keshav Park area. Last year, a youth was injured in a panther attack.
