Mercury drops to 38 Deg C in Chennai

Chennai, May 19 (UNI) Early setting of sea breeze in the city today brought the temperature down to 38 degrees C.

According to MET officials here, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 37.8 degree C (100.04 F), while suburban Meenambakkam registered 40.2 degree C (104.36 F).

The officials said the temperature had come down due to early setting of sea breeze today.
