Last rites of MP Assly's former speaker performed

Bhopal, May 19 (UNI) The last rites of Madhya Pradesh Assembly's former Speaker Narbada Prasad Srivastava was today performed with full state honours at Subhsah Nagar crematorium.

Mr Srivastava passed away here yesterday. He was 80.

His elder son Prakash Srivastava lit the funeral pyre.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's Vice-President Ashok Jain Bhabha, MPCC General Secretaries Deepchand Yadav and Manak Agrawal, Vidhan Sabha Principal Secretary A K Pyasi and other prominent citizens paid their tributes.

A brief silence was observed for peace to the departed.
