Five get life on murder charge

Darbhanga, May 19 (UNI) A sessions court today awarded life sentence to five members of a family in connection with a murder case.

Additional District and sessions judge Avinash Kumar Sinha found Sanjay Sharma,his father Ram Ratan Sharma,mother Mania Devi,brothers Jaya Prakash and Gopi guilty of murdering Mridula, the newly married wife of Sanjay,for dowry.

According to the charges,Mridula, since her marriage to Sanjay on January 28,1998, was subjected to physical and mental torture before being murdered on May 27 that year.

Later her body was recovered by the police from a tank in the town police station area.
