Explosives in quantum seized, one held

Allahabad, May 19 (UNI) Police today arrested a person and seized a large amount of explosives, detonators and magnetic wires from him in the district.

On a tip off, police raided a house in Shankargarh locality and arrested Bhaiyadeen, recovering 1,000 detonators, 100 magnetic wires and two bags of ammonia nitrate from the spot.

Police suspect the consignment was meant for naxalites, who are active in the area.
